What is ΔE and how do I read these labels?
ΔE (Delta E) is the international standard for how different two colors look to the human eye — we use the CIE ΔE2000 formula. 0 means an identical color; the bigger the number, the bigger the difference. Because we measure every filament with a spectrophotometer, these labels reflect the real filament color, not the brand's product photo.
- Virtually identical ΔE 0–1 The eye can't tell them apart
- Very close ΔE 1–2 Only visible side by side, up close
